JHU at CDF
The CDF experiment is a 2000 ton all purpose detector at the 2-TeV Tevatron proton-antiproton collider located at Fermilab near Chicago. CDF discovered the top-quark in 1995 and is now pursuing a program of top-physics, b-physics, electroweak physics, and searches for phenomena beyond the Standard Model.

The JHU CDF group consists of Professors Barnett, Blumenfeld, and Maksimovic; of postdoc Behari; and of graduate students Mathis, Mumford and Pursley. The group is currently pursuing a program of b-physics with the longterm goal of measuring the mixing parameter for Bs-Bs(bar) oscillations which are sensitive to poorly known parameters of the unitarity triangle.
